Pipe Shop

Metal and wood organ pipe fabrication and repair requires three things: knowledge, skill and the right equipment. We are fortunate to have all of these under our roof.

Standard procedure in all our restoration work includes inspection and repair of all defects, replacement of tuning inserts, damaged pipe toes, ears and languids as necessary. We include installation of stainless-steel flared tuning collars where appropriate for flue pipes. Zinc pipes are always stripped and refinished with shellac, varnish or metal lacquer (with or without pigment) as appropriate.
